Our
appraisers use established standards to assure a quality estimate.

These
standards include:
|
- Prepare
a detailed appraisal using the most current software, databases
and guides.
- Assure
proper identification of vehicle including VIN, Make, Model,
Year, Body Style,
Equipment and Modifications.
- Describe
the condition of the vehicle in detail.
- If
performing a damage estimate, list unrelated damage.
- Provide
pictures of vehicle and, if needed, the point of impact.
- Provide
accurate time allowances for the repair or replacement of
damage items.
Replacement will only be considered when parts cannot be economically
or properly
repaired.
- Where
applicable, consider the use of LKQ parts.
- Where
applicable, consider the use of recycled or after-market parts.
- Where
applicable, Identify modifications or depreciation.
- Where
practical, recommend appearance allowances.
- Report
related towing and storage charges.
- Upon
request, show ACV and salvage amounts on all borderline or
total loss vehicles.
- Unless
otherwise instructed by the customer, obtain agreement with
the repair shop.
- Reinspect
and document any hidden or additional damage.
- Insure
that all appraisers are reviewed and trained in new design
changes and repair
procedures.
